Christine Webb

Christine Webb is an Anchor/Reporter with News 13 and joined the staff in August 2007.

Christine knew she was destined to be in the television industry since she was 10 years old. Prior to coming to News 13, she was the Health and Medical Reporter and fill in anchor at 13 WHAM News in Rochester, N.Y. for six years. There she helped the community stay fit and active. She created a cookbook and had a weekly segment called "Cooking with Christine," and served on numerous boards in the community. While in Rochester, Christine courageously shared her story of losing more than 85 pounds and not finishing the Ironman Triathlon. With the community behind her, she trained even harder the next year to go back and finish. Before her time in Rochester, N.Y., Christine served as the main anchor at WUTR in Utica, N.Y. And even while attending college, Christine was busy, not only working at the NBC affiliate in Syracuse but she also interned at Good Morning America and CNN.

Christine graduated from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. She has won numerous awards for her work, including an Associated Press Award for Best Local Newscast. She also won the prestigious 40 under 40 award, along with many community service awards and best local talent.

Originally from the Bronx, Christine is now calls Central Florida Home so she can train all year round in the sunshine! Her family now also calls Central Florida home residing in The Villages.

Christine is also an avid athlete! She's run over 20 marathons and competed in the Empire State Games for Synchronized Swimming. She's also taken part in dozens of 100 mile bike rides and has completed two Ironman Triathlons - the most grueling triathlon in the world!

In January 2010 Christine was on her first missions trip to Haiti and was there when the earthquake struck. Trapped and needed to be rescued by the U.S military in Black Hawk Helicopters she became the only American reporter there at the time and the first to send reports back through her iphone. Her reports ended up on CNN all over the world. Home From Haiti, a News 13 special documenting what happened has won numerous awards. Christine has gone back to Haiti a number of times and recently put together another half hour tv special "Hope for Haiti: Five Years Later."

Christine loves to take on new adventures and she loves spreading the message of faith and hope on her Facebook page! Her puppy Caleb helps out occasionally as he too has his own Facebook page and tries to follow in his Momma's inspirational footsteps.
